Hello! Welcome to Fit ‘N’ Cookies! My name is Heather and I am 22 years old. I started this blog as a way to share my everyday passion of fitness, healthy eating, and the fun in my life!
More about me:
I am a recent college graduate! I have a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Ed/ Special Ed and a certificate in Middle School Mathematics. I am currently a substitute teacher in various districts around my house. This is just fine and dandy for me right now, because I am ALSO planning my wedding to the love of my life in July!
I did it!!
I have such a love and passion for fitness. However, I still very much love my sweets, especially my chocolate chip cookies! 😉 I fell in love with exercising and working out when I was a freshman in college. In high school? Man, you couldn’t get me to run or enjoy working out AT ALL! Definitely didn’t help my high school track days, that’s for sure…
Throughout college, I became a huge fan of running, and I was at the gym every day. Since then, I have done multiple 5K’s, 10K’s, and also ran 2 half-marathons! Running outside is my favorite, and since I am from Pittsburgh, this really only happens in the summer. 😦

I have also completed both P90x and Insanity when I needed a break from the gym routine! Therefore, you can imagine that I am in love with HIIT and strength training! My goal is to become a NASM certified personal trainer in the next few years. 🙂 I will be sure to share my exercise routines and new workouts I create on Fit ‘N’ Cookies!
In the summer, a lot of my workouts come from water sports! My dad, brother, and fiance went in on a new 2012 Super Air Nautique boat last year. I LOVE skiing, wakeboarding, tubing, and just doing it all! I am found on the boat most nights, and almost every weekend! The river where we keep it is only about 15 minutes away, so it’s a nice and quick place to get to!

A little bit about the most important people in my life:
My fiance’s name is Aaron.
We have been together for over 8 years, and they have been the best years of my life. He popped the question last July, and we are planning a wedding for this July. Fit ‘N’ Cookies will be sure to highlight wedding planning as I am deep in the planning phase! 😉
I currently live at home with my parents! They are, honestly, the best and most supportive parents in the world. No matter what I have tried, or wanted to try to do, they have ALWAYS been there for me. I am going to miss them A LOT when I move out after my wedding!

My brother, Matt, also lives at home! Matt and I are very close in age and have lots of fun together. I can’t imagine not having him as my brother!
He also has a dog, named Niko, who is such a fabulous and beautiful dog! He will definitely be making the blog because he’s too gosh darn cute!
Last but certainly not least is my kitty, Myste! She is such a cuddlebug and would never trade her! She likes to cuddle up at night while she sleeps beside me!
